The Ascent (Voskhozhdeniye) is a 1977 Soviet war drama directed by Larisa Shepitko and based on the novel "Sotnikov" by Vasil Bykov.
The following weapons were used in the film The Ascent (Voskhozhdeniye):
MP40
German soldiers and several Hilfspolizei (auxiliary police) personnel are armed with MP40 submachine guns. MP40s are also seen in hands of partisans.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Many Soviet partisans, including Sotnikov (Boris Plotnikov), are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles.
Mauser Rifle
Partisans, including Rybak (Vladimir Gostyukhin), and Hilfspolizei personnel are armed with Mauser rifles. Due to the straigh bolt handle they can be identified as Czech Vz-24 rifles.
Double Barreled Shotgun
A double barreled shotgun is seen in hands of a partisan.
Maxim M1910/30
A Maxim M1910/30 machine gun is seen during the opening credits.
MG34
An MG34 on tripod is seen during the opening credits.
Dummy Training Grenade
Dummy training stick grenades, standing for RG-14/30s, are carried by several partisans.
