The Fable (Japanese title: ザ・ファブル, Za Faburu) is a 2019 action-comedy film based on the 2014-2019 manga series of the same name by Katsuhisa Minami. The film stars Junichi Okada as "The Fable", an extremely talented and legendary hitman within the Japanese underworld who is ordered to live a normal civilian life without killing anybody for an entire year. A sequel, The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn't Kill, was released in 2021.
