Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
Nuclear Dawn is a 2011 video game utilizing Valve Software's Source Engine. The game started out as a mod for Source engine video games (Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source) and became an independent project in 2009. The game mixes together the FPS and RTS genres, creating a unique post-apocalyptic multiplayer experience. The game was released in 2011 for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
The Game play consists of 4 classes and a commander that sees combat from birds-eye view and can give-out commands/place buildings.
"Assault": Standard infantry class with access to a wide amounts of load-outs including Rifles, shotguns and Grenade launchers .
"EXO": Heavy Armored class with access to heavy weapons like Mini-guns, rail-guns and Rocket launchers designed to destroy buildings and objectives
"Stealth": Specialized stealth class made to flank behind enemy lines and take out EXO class's,
"Support" Class made to Heal players, repair buildings, and can use a flamethrower.
The following weapons appear in the video game Nuclear Dawn:
Handguns
Walther P99
The Walther P99 appears in game as the "P900" and is used by both Consortium and Empire factions, and comes equipped with a 12-round magazine of 9x19.
"BAG-900"
The "BAG-900" seems to be a hybrid of a Desert Eagle Mark I and a Heckler & Koch USP Tactical with a barrel weight, it shares the same mag-size of 12 of a unkown caliber as the P99 and has marginally better damage against the body balanced out by marginally worse headshot stats.
Shotguns
Franchi SPAS-12
The "SPETZ-9" is a visually altered Franchi SPAS-12. It has been fitted with a top rail and a custom stock, possibly based on a Heckler & Koch SL8 sporting rifle. This is a pump-action shotgun that can be upgraded to fire semi-automatically. A more advanced variant is the "SPETZ-12", it is used as the primary weapon for the support class Enginer kit and the Assualt class grenadier kit.
Submachine Guns
KBP Instrument Design Bureau PP-2000
The PP-2000 appears as "PP22" and is used by the "Empire" faction medic kit, despite it feeding a 20-round magazine in-game it has a mag-size of 60 rounds, and the iron sights don't line up.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 appears as "MP7", it is the primary weapon of the "Consortium" faction medic kit gun for the "Consortium" Faction,
"MP500"
A mutant of a submachine gun design that takes inspiration from the Mp5a3 with a Navy trigger grouping, MP7 PDW prototype and UMP45 submachine gun, with a magazine similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops III's Argus shotgun, it is used by the Consortium Stealth class Assassin Kit.
Rifles
F2000 Tactical
The FN F2000 Tactical appears as "FN-H F2100TR" and is the standard rifle of the Consortium Assault class. The FN F2000 with factory red dot sight appears on several concept arts and screenshots but does not appear in the final game. Upgrades for this rifle are: "silencer", grenade launcher, lightweight carbon fiber body, stronger bullets, increased "clip" size, and long-range sight.
"C1 Avenger"
A rifle heavily based on Starship Troopers Morita MkI Carbine with a Mp5 Style trigger grouping appears in-game as the "Empires" Assualt class Infantry Kit, loaded with 25-rounds of an unknown caliber and has slightly higher damage then the F2000.
"Paladin PLR-5"
The Paladin PLR-5 is a straight-pull sniper rifle used by the Consortium faction as their standard rifle for the sniper kit.
Grenade launchers
FN GL-1
The FN GL-1 can be mounted on the FN F2000.
MGL Mk 1L
A highly stylized MGL Mk 1L Grenade launcher with a thumbhole stock from an Accuracy International Arctic Warfare, somehow converted to pump-action and without the Signature OEG reflex sight appears in-game as the "M52 Hydra MGL", unlike a real MGL MK 1S which is fed from a 6-round cylinder reloaded one at a time, the M52 Hydra reloads the entire cylinder by removing it, it only used by the Assualt class grenadier kit.
Heavy weapons
General Dynamics GAU-19/A
The General Dynamics GAU-19/A appears in the game as the "GAU-20P Minigun" in the "Heavy weapon" section and is used as an option by each faction "EXO" class, it has a few-second wind-up and feeds 200-rounds at a time.
