The Absent One, also known as Department Q: The Absent One, is a 2014 Danish-German-Swedish movie directed by Mikkel Nørgaard based on the Danish novel of the same name by Jussi Adler-Olsen. When two siblings are brutally murdered, the culprit seems to be found quickly: Boarding school student Bjarne Thøgersen confesses to the crime and is sent to prison for several years. But something seems fishy: Bjarne belongs to the spoiled clique around leader Ditlev Pram, Ulrik Dybbøl, and the pretty Kirsten-Marie, called "Kimmie" Lassen. The quartet escapes the stuffy school routine by going out on their Sundays off and randomly abusing people. Copenhagen deputy detective Carl Mørck and his assistant Assad reopen the case twenty years later.
The following weapons were used in the film The Absent One:
Pistols
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
Danish Politi officers including Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and Assad (Fares Fares) wield Heckler & Koch USP Compact pistols.
Beretta 92FS
Tim Alberg (Peter Christoffersen) owns a Beretta 92FS that is also used by Kirsten "Kimmie" Marie Larsen (Danica Curcic).
Rifles
Hunting Rifles
Members of a hunting club to which include Ditlev Pram (Pilou Asbæk), Ulrik Dybbøl (David Dencik), and Bent Krum (Hans Henrik Clemensen) are seen with various scoped hunting rifles.
