The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the television series Tour of Duty:
Handguns
Colt M1911A1
The M1911A1 is seen used by several members of Bravo Company, including SFC Clayton "Zeke" Anderson (Terence Knox) and Lt. Myron Goldman (Stephen Caffrey).
Colt MK IV Series 80
Unlike other officer and soldiers, 1st Lieutenant John McKay (Dan Gauthier) carries a blued Colt MK IV Series 80 with pearl grips that he keeps in a shoulder holster. This is anachronistic for the time period of the series, as the MK IV Series 80 was first produced in 1983.
Tokarev TT-33
NVA officers and some other characters can be seen armed with the Tokarev TT-33 pistols.
Walther PPK
In "I Wish It Could Rain" (S2E07), Pvt. Taylor (Miguel A. Núñez Jr.) is seen pulling out a Walther PPK during a confrontation with gangsters.
Rifles
M16 Variants
The M16 rifle was the main rifle of the U.S. Army soldiers in Vietnam and is seen carried by most of the platoon. In the series, various models of the M16 are seen.
Colt XM177 (Colt Sporter Carbine)
A Colt Sporter Carbine modified to resemble the XM177 rifle is mainly seen being used by SFC Clayton "Zeke" Anderson (Terence Knox). In Season 1, Anderson's Colt Carbine is seen loaded with a 30-round magazine (unusual for the time period of the series). For the remainder of the series, the Colt is loaded with the more accurate 20 round magazine.
M14
The M14 Rifle is seen used by Sgt. Block (Michael Madsen) in "Sleeping Dogs" (S2E06). The rifle is fitted with a scope and painted in a tiger stripe camo scheme.
M1-D Garand
In "Sleeping Dogs" (S2E06), a VC sniper is seen armed with the M1-D, a sniper variant of the M1 Garand.
Norinco Type 56
The Norinco Type 56 is seen in the hands of the NVA and VC soldiers.
AKM
The AKM is also used by enemy forces.
SKS rifle
The SKS rifle is seen a couple of times by VC and NVA forces.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
The Ithaca 37 shotgun is seen in the hands of SFC Clayton "Zeke" Anderson (Terence Knox). Sgt. Block (Michael Madsen) also is seen with a full size shotgun.
Machine Guns
M60
The M60, the standard machine gun carried by American forces in Vietnam, is primarily carried by Pvt. Alberto Ruiz (Ramon Franco) in the series.
M60D
The "D" variant of the M60 is seen mounted on Huey helicopters as well as fired by enemy forces in the series.
Soviet SGM Goryunov
The Soviet Goryunov SGM Machine Gun or Chinese Type 57 machine gun is also seen used by NVA forces in the series. Actually it's not a real Goryunov machine gun. It's visually modified Browning M1919
Submachine Guns
Smith & Wesson M76
The Smith & Wesson M76 is seen used by Jim Doyle in "Sealed with a Kiss" (S2E14) and by SPC Sweet (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) in "Volunteer" (S2E16).
Hand Grenades
RGD5
The RGD-5 hand grenade is seen used by enemy forces in the series.
M26 Hand Grenade
The M26 hand grenade is the one of the grenades by US forces in the series.
M67 Hand Grenade
The M67 Hand Grenade is another grenade by US forces in the series.
Grenade Launchers
M79 Grenade Launcher
The M79 grenade launcher is seen used by US forces throughout the series including SFC Anderson and Johnson.
RPG-7
The RPG-7 is used throughout the series by VC and NVA forces.
Other
M2 Flamethrower
An M2 Flamethrower is seen in "Popular Forces" (S2E08).
M18A1 Claymore Mine
The M18A1 Claymore mine is set up in "Sealed with a Kiss" (S2E14).
Weapons Platforms
Bell OH-58 Kiowa
In a continuity error, the helicopter briefly seen launching rockets on an enemy position appears to be a Bell OH-58 Kiowa instead of the Huey flown by Lt. McKay in "Saigon (Part 1)" (S2E01).
