Hancock is a 2008 science-fiction superhero comedy starring Will Smith as John Hancock, a man who has superpowers whose alcoholic binges cause him to do more damage in his attempts to fight crime than the actual crimes themselves would do. He then finds himself taken by a PR consultant determined to help him correct his ways. The film was directed by Peter Berg and was produced by Michael Mann, and the cast included Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.
The following weapons were used in the film Hancock:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Handguns
Beretta 92FS
Officers of the Los Angeles Police Department are mainly seen armed with Beretta 92FS pistols during the bank shootout.
Glock 17
One of the FBI agents is seen firing a Glock 17 during the bank shootout.
SIG-Sauer P228
An FBI agent is seen with a SIG-Sauer P228 during the bank shootout. A criminal during the credits (Mike Epps) is also seen with a SIG P228 and uses it to hold a woman hostage before Hancock (Will Smith) intervenes.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
A criminal trying to rob a convenience store is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 66. When Hancock tries to dispatch him with a candy bar, the thief fires off two shots before flying out the window. Hancock then realizes the .357 Magnum rounds wounded him.
Heckler & Koch Mark 23
One of the criminals who comes to the hospital to get revenge on Hancock brings a Heckler & Koch Mark 23.
Special
Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic
Kenneth "Red" Parker Jr. (Eddie Marsan) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic to shoot Hancock (Will Smith) repeatedly in his weakened state and nearly kills him before Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) chops off his remaining hand with an axe.
Submachine Guns
Brügger & Thomet MP9
One of the Asian gangsters (Alex Huynh) is seen using a Brügger & Thomet MP9 to shoot at the cops during the freeway chase. He tries to shoot Hancock (Will Smith) with it but the bullets deflect off his skin and break his liquor bottle, which angers Hancock enough to apprehend him and his friends.
Cobray M11/9
A Cobray M11/9 is used by one of the Asian gangsters during the freeway chase. He tries to shoot Hancock with it but the bullets deflect off him.
Heckler & Koch UMP
One of the criminals in the hospital trying to get revenge on Hancock uses a Heckler & Koch UMP.
Shotguns
Serbu Super Shorty
One of the criminals trying to rob the convenience store is seen with a Serbu Super Shorty shotgun. He is pulled through the counter and smashed into a store fridge by Hancock before he can use it.
Benelli M4 Tactical
One of the criminals who comes to the hospital to get revenge on Hancock brings a Benelli M4 Tactical shotgun. He shoots Mary Embrey (Charlize Theron) with it before he is killed by Hancock.
Special
Assault Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
LAPD SWAT officers and patrol officers are seen using M4A1 Carbines fitted with ACOG scopes and SureFire M500AB weaponlights.
Colt Model 933
One of the bank robbers is seen using a Colt Model 933 fitted with an ARMS SIR rail system and SureFire M900 foregrip/weaponlight. This could, while extremely unlikely, be a reference to Heat, since the Model 933 is the modern counterpart to the Model 733 that was used by Val Kilmer.
Heckler & Koch G36K
One of the bank robbers is seen using a Heckler & Koch G36K during the bank shootout.
Heckler & Koch HK416D
A bank robber is seen using a Heckler & Koch HK416D rifle fitted with a C-More sight, flip-up iron sights and an underslung Heckler & Koch AG-C grenade launcher during the bank shootout.
DSA SA58 OSW
One of the criminals in the hospital trying to get revenge on Hancock uses an FN FAL carbine, likely a DSA SA58 OSW.
Special
Sniper Rifles
Remington 700PSS
LAPD SWAT snipers use Remington 700PSS rifles during the bank shootout.
Barrett M107A1 Custom
A Barrett M107A1 converted to full-auto and fitted with an extended curved magazine and large muzzle brake is used by one of the bank robbers during the bank shootout. The police officers on the scene refer to it as "heavy artillery, possibly .50 caliber or bigger", presumably meaning it is supposed to be a Barrett XM109. Due to the recoil emitted by a handheld full-auto .50 caliber, the bipod has to be used as a foregrip.
Special
Launchers
Milkor MGL Mk 1L
A customized Milkor MGL Mk 1L with a different forend, cylinder and buttstock along with some sort of barrel extension is used by one of the bank robbers to shoot at Hancock, but the rounds deflect off his skin.
