Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance is a 2024 RTS game developed by CatsWhoPlay (who were taken off mid-development) on their "Warfare" series engine, the same engine used in Warfare, Warfare Reloaded and Syrian Warfare and Slitherine Ltd, the publisher who took over development after CatsWhoPlay were removed.
The game takes place during the future war in the "Legion" timeline of Terminator: Dark Fate, the player takes command of a cut-off group of "The Founders", a resistance group made up of former US Military personnel as they attempt to survive against Legion after Judgement Day, who find themselves isolated and having to scavenge for resources and make friends/enemies out of other groups of survivors as they attempt to rebuild and fight back against Legion.
Notably the game further expands on the mechanics of the Warfare games and adds limited individual unit customization.
