The following guns were used in the film The Marine:

The Marine (2006)

M16 (SP1)

John Triton (John Cena) uses an M16 (SP1) rifle fitted with a Cobray 37mm Launcher to dispatch Al Queda torturing US Marines during the opening scene in the film. The gun is fitted with an A1-stlye birdcage muzzle break, which gives a large and impressive "star pattern" muzzle flash. The original slab-side M16 was never fielded with the US Marines, so how or why he is using this old gun is not known.

M16 (SP1) fitted with M203 grenade launcher - 5.56x45mm/40mm. This image is a combination of two pictures taken by MoviePropMaster2008.
Promotional image of John Triton firing the M16 (SP1) fitted with a Cobray CM203 37mm flare launcher.
Triton denies his direct order to hold back and jumps in firing his M16 (SP1) to kill all of the Al Queda torturing US Marines.
Schwarzenegger wannabe. No real Marine would ever fire his rifle like this.
A good shot of the immense muzzle flash the rifle produces.
A good shot of the rifle as Triton reloads his launcher.

Cobray CM203 Launcher

Attached to John Triton's (John Cena) M16 (SP1) rifle is a Cobray CM203 Flare Launcher, standing in for M203 grenade launcher. Unlike a real grenade launcher, it is shown capable of detonation at very close ranges, which is not possible with real grenade rounds do to a safety feature based on how many times the round spins in flight. Also, the explosion of the round is depicted as a huge fireball which engulfs the bad guys, another piece of film fiction.

Cobray CM203 Launcher - 37mm Flare.
Triton takes cover from the hail of gun fire and a good shot of the CM203 launcher is seen.
Triton reloads his CM203 before opting to "go through" the huge firefight as opposed to around it.

Norinco Type 56

The Al Queda members torturing U.S. Marines during the opening scene are mainly armed with Norinco Type 56 rifles, fitted with underfolding 'pig-sticker' bayonets and AKM-style muzzle brakes.

Norinco Type 56 with "pig-sticker" bayonet - 7.62x39mm.
The barrel of a Norinco Type 56 in the background. Note hooded front sight and milled reciever.
The Al Queda to the right with a Norinco Type 56.
An Al Queda fires his Type 56 at Triton.
An Al Queda engulfed in flames by a grenade round fires his Type 56.

Custom Norinco MAK-90

At least one of the Al Queda is seen using a custom built Norinco MAK-90 with a homemade folding stock and a Galil reciever cover.

An Al Queda holding a custom built Norinoc MAK-90. This guy looks like he actually knows how to use the gun he's holding.
Seen left.
An Al Queda firing at Triton.

RPD Light Machine Gun

One of the Al Queda shooting at a US chopper is using an RPD Light Machine Gun during the opening scene.

RPD Light Machine Gun - 7.62x39mm.
The Al Queda in the middle fires his RPd LMG.

Unknown RPK Variant

One of the Al Queda shooting at a US chopper is using an unknown RPK variant. A US Marine is also seen using one taken off a dead Al Queda as he escapes with John Triton (John Cena). It appears to be a Valmet M78 based on the reciever but the muzzle is hard to see.

The Marine to the right holds a liberated RPK variant with a 75 round drum. Note "clubfoot" stock. Also note the ridiculous getup Cena is wearing, which is definately not standard issue to Marines.
The Al Queda to the left fires his RPK.

Unknown Pistol

During the opening scene, John Triton (John Cena) uses an unknown pistol to shoot severak Al Queda members. The gun is never shown in focus but if it is true to real Marine issue, he would be using a Beretta 92FS, military designation "M9". Even so, it also looks a bit like an M1911A1.

Triton fires his pistol.
An Al Queda (right) is also seen with an unknown pistol, which is out of focus but looks like either a Tokarev TT-33 or a Beretta 92FS. It also bears resemblence to a Browning BDM.

GE M61 Vulcan (Acetylene Gas Firing)

The US helicopter fires off a chin-mounted M61 Vulcan during the opening scene, which is actually firing Acetylene gas to fake fire.

GE M61 Vulcan cannon - 20mm.

Jericho 941F

Rome (Robert Patrick) carries a brushed chrome Jericho 941F as his sidearm in the film, chambered in .45 ACP.

Stainless steel Jericho 941 - 9mm.
Rome points his Jericho 941F during the robbery.
Note how "Jericho 941F" can be read on the frame.
Rome fires his Jericho 941F at a police Camaro at the gas station.
".45mm?" Talk about small! It is actually .45 inch caliber. It is not a metric measurement.
"You are one crazy son of a bitch!" Rome holds his Jericho on Morgan (Anthony Ray Parker).
A good side shot of the Jericho.
Rome's Jericho on the table.
Rome fires his Jericho at Agent Van Buren (Jerome Ehlers).

Taurus PT99

Angela (Abigail Bianca) is given an older model stainless Taurus PT99 by Rome (Robert Patrick), who takes it off a guard during the first robbery and carries it as her sidearm in the film.

Taurus PT99 Stainless Steel - 9mm.
Angela points her Taurus PT99 during the robbery.
She looks like she's holding a gun for the first time ever.
Angela smacks a fresh magazine into her PT99.
Angela releases the slide on her PT99. Note adjustable sights.
Her gun has jammed but she's more concerned with the flaming Camaro coming straight for her.
Note how the magazine is falling out here.
Angela points her PT99 at Kate Triton (Kelly Carlson).
Angela draws her PT99 hiden in the small of her back before killing a truck driver.

Taurus PT92 AFS

Bennett (Manu Bennett) carries a pair of stainless Taurus PT92 AFS pistols during the robbery and continues to carry a single PT92 for the rest of the film.

Taurus PT92 AFS with tactical rail - 9mm.
Bennett wields two Taurus PT92 AFS pistols akimbo during the first robbery.
Bennett holds his Taurus PT92 AFS on Kate Triton (Kelly Carlson).

Beretta 92SB

Do to continuity error, Bennett's (Manu Bennett) Taurus PT92 changes into a nickel plated Beretta 92SB when he looks for Morgan (Anthony Ray Parker) under the fishing hut.

Beretta 92SB - 9mm.
Bennett walks out and a nickel plated Beretta 92SB is seen tucked in his pants. Note the slide mounted decocking safety, as opposed to the frame mounted slide stop safety of his Taurus.
Bennett draws his 92SB.
Note rounded trigger guard.
This shows that the safety is ambidextrous.

Beretta 92FS

A South Carolina Police officer hunting down Rome (Robert Patrick) and his gang holds his Beretta 92FS on John Triton (John Cena) when he finds him in the woods. After Triton turns his handcuffs on himself with his Marine-style hand-to-hand, he takes the officers Beretta from him, but never uses it.

An officer points his Beretta 92FS at Triton.
Triton takes the officer's Beretta.

Colt Model 733

Rome (Robert Patrick) takes a Colt Model 733 carbine from the back of his car during the robbery and uses it to hose down a police car before the car is destroyed by Morgan's (Anthony Ray Parker) rocket launcher. Later, Bennett (Manu Bennett) uses the same gun to shoot at Triton (John Cena) as he pursues them in a police Camaro.

Rome takes his Colt Model 733 out of his trunk.
Rome unloads his Colt Model 733 on a police cruiser.
Rome walks away from the wreckage while still holding his Colt 733.
Bennett fires the Colt 733 at Triton.
Another shot of this scene. Note how the rifle is shooting pretty much dead on to Triton.
Bennett does a mag change.
Bennett chambers the 733. Note how the round seen in the ejection port is a dummy round, which is suprising since most people don't bother to use dummy rounds when the shot is literally under a second long.
Bennett fires the 733.
