Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) carries the Glock 26 as her sidearm. Detective Irene Daniels (Gina Ravera) carried the Glock 26 as well from seasons 1 through 4.

Lt. Mike Tao (Michael Paul Chan) carries the Glock 19 as his duty weapon. The Glock 19 is also carried by FBI Special Agent Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) and Commander Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett).

In (S4E08), Lt. Tao draws his Glock 19 during a standoff.

In "Time Bomb" (S4E10), FBI Special Agent Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) on the right holds a Glock 19 as Lieutenant Flynn holds the S&W 4516.

In (S4E11), Lt. Tao uses his unloaded Glock to demonstrate the improbability of a victim to use a pistol to commit suicide.

In (S4E14), Commander Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett) carries the Glock 19 on the left.

Beretta 92FS

Lt. Louie Provenza (G.W. Bailey), Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) and Sgt. David Gabriel (Corey Reynolds) carry the LAPD's previously standard issue Beretta 92FS as their onduty sidearms. The detectives are notably seen drawing their sidearms in "Time Bomb" (S4E10).

SIG-Sauer P228

In "Live Wire" (S4E04), Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) is seen armed with a SIG-Sauer P228 fitted with a laser sight. This appears to be a continuity error.

In "Dial M For Provenza" (S4E05), a Walther PP is found in a safe and is suspected to be a murder weapon.

War Time Walther PP Pistol. The lesser-known, full-length barreled Walther PP is available in .22LR, 6.35mm auto (.25 ACP), 7.65x17mm (.32 ACP) Auto or 9x17mm (.380 ACP).

In "Dial M For Provenza" (S4E05), a Walther PP is found in a safe and is suspected to be a murder weapon.

Mossberg 500

A Mossberg 500 with a Surefire weaponlight attached is carried by an officer with the LAPD's K-9 unit in "Power of Attorney" (S4E13).

M4A1

In "Time Bomb" (S4E10), the Major Crimes Division engages in a shootout at a shopping mall against a heavily armed and armored teenage spree killer who is carrying an M4A1 carbine assault rifle. This gun is used to wound Detective Sanchez.
