This weapon is a chopped down L1A1 SLR with a special sight and is used by the Ex SAS member Tosh Donalson played by Ian Yule who in real life was a Mercenarie in the Congo during the 1960s under the command of Major Mike Hoare.


R-1 Battle Rifle. Full sized FN-FAL metric variant. Originally wooden stocked later issued with synthetic stock and often camoflaged by the end user with a hand applied series of paints.

A CZ 27 submachine gun with a wooden stock is seen in the parachute harness of a mercenary as they prepare to do a halo jump from the C-130 transport plane.

Its possible is a South African [Sanna 77] variant which is a licenced copy but chambered in the 9mm luger round.
