American Ninja 2: The Confrontation is the 1987 action sequel to 1985's American Ninja. The movie was directed by Sam Firstenberg and in this sequel, Joe Armstrong (Michael Dudikoff) and Curtis Jackson (Steve James) are tasked with a mission to infiltrate a Caribbean island where several US Marines have gone missing. Steve James would return for the third film, 1989's American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt and would reunite with Dudikoff for the final film in the series, 1990's American Ninja 4: The Annihilation.
The following weapons were used in the film American Ninja 2: The Confrontation:
Handguns
CZ 75
In the final scene Sgt. Charlie McDonald (Larry Poindexter) is armed with a pistol that appears to be a CZ 75 of some early version.
Submachine Guns
Kommando LDP
Submachine guns that are used by both Marines and The Lion's guards appear to be Kommando LDP, South African version of Sa 23 submachine gun series (the movie was filmed in South Africa).
Armscor BXP
Submachine guns that appear to be early version of Armscor BXP (in late 80s it was manufactured by Mechem) are also used by The Lion's guards.
Micro Uzi
In the final scene Sgt. Charlie McDonald (Larry Poindexter) is also armed with a Micro Uzi.
Shotguns
Armsel Striker
In the final scene Curtis Jackson (Steve James) is armed with an Armsel Striker. Striker shotguns are also seen in hands of The Lion's guards.
Shotgun 1
In one scene Alicia Sanborn (Michelle Botes) carries a shotgun with pistol grip and extended magazine tube.
Atis R.G. 700
In the final scene "Wild Bill" Woodward (Jeff Celentano) is armed with a Atis R.G. 700 shotgun with pistol grip and short barrel.
In the final scene Tojo Ken (Mike Stone) uses a another similar shotgun with wooden forend along with his ninja weapons.
Assault Rifles
FN FAL
FN FAL rifles are seen in hands of both Marines and The Lion's guards. They are supposed to be South African R1s.
M16A1
M16A1 rifles are used by The Lion's guards and by several Marines in the final scene.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
A machine gun is mounted on the jeep of The Lion's guards. It is seen only in darkness but its general shape and size allows to guess it to be a Browning M2HB.
Hand Grenades
Mk 2 hand grenade
In the final confrontation, Curtis Jackson (Steve James) and several Marines, including "Wild Bill" Woodward (Jeff Celentano), use hand grenades, supposedly Mk 2.
