Saw 3D (also known as Saw: The Final Chapter or Saw VII) is a 2010 American 3D horror film directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. It is the seventh installment in the Saw franchise. The film stars Costas Mandylor, Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, Chad Donella, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Cary Elwes and was released in the United States on October 29, 2010, by Lionsgate.
The film focuses on a man who falsely claims to be a Jigsaw survivor, becoming a local celebrity. However, he soon finds himself part of a real Jigsaw game where he must ultimately save his wife and friends who helped him become famous. At the same time, Jill Tuck finds protection from officer Gibson, who, together with his colleagues, begins the hunt for Hoffman, who has completely departed from John's ideas and is playing his own cruel game. An eighth film, titled Jigsaw, was released in 2017.
The following weapons were used in the film Saw 3D:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Handguns
Beretta 92FS
A Beretta 92FS once again makes an appearance in a Saw film, this time as Detective Matt Gibson's (Chad Donella) sidearm. He carries it throughout the film and draws it when searching for Hoffman with Det. Rogers and later when raiding another supposed hideout for Hoffman with two police officers, but never fires it.
Glock 17
A Glock 17 can first be seen in a flashback as Det. Gibson's (Chad Donella) sidearm as a street officer when he is attacked by a hobo and then "saved" by Det. Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), who uses his own Glock to brutally shoot the surrendering man who drops the Glock when confronted. Police officers, who came to the place where the test of Evan and other racists took place, have holstered Glocks. The Glock 17 is also seen in the holsters of SWAT officers who arrive at the place where Bobby was located, and with the police officer who accompanied Gibson to Hoffman's shelter. Hoffman later reacquires a Glock from a murdered officer in the police station massacre and uses it to kill at least one detective and threaten Jill Tuck with it.
Unknown Pistol
When Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) enters the famous bathroom from the first and second films, an unknown pistol is seen on the floor. This pistol may be intended to be the Wilson Combat "Protector" dropped on the floor during the climax of the first film, but is never seen close enough for a positive identification.
Smith & Wesson 5946
A Eric Matthews' old sidearm, the Smith & Wesson 5946, is briefly seen near the end of the film. As he destroys evidence from the previous films, we see Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) toss the pistol into a bag of cash before zipping it up and taking it with him.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
In archive footage from the Saw, John Kramer's (Tobin Bell) fake corpse with a Smith & Wesson Model 686 in his left hand is briefly seen in the final scene, when Hoffman wakes up in the famous bathroom from the first movie.
Shotguns
Remington 870 Police Magnum
The Remington 870 is first seen in the possession of Detective Rogers (Lawrence Anthony), as he and Gibson clear the area where Hoffman made the tape to Jill. We then see it again in a police officer's hands who is helping Gibson clear the area where Hoffman may be hiding. Gibson (Chad Donella) briefly borrows it to break the mirror revealing the hidden passageway to the hideout.
Mossberg 500 Persuader
One of the officers that accompanies Det. Gibson into the hideout can be seen carrying what appears to be a Mossberg 500.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine gun with collapsible stock and a railed forearm with accessories can be seen in the hands of multiple SWAT officers near the film's finale as they raid the game house.
Heckler & Koch UMP45
The Heckler & Koch UMP45 can be seen in the hands of at least a couple of the SWAT officers raiding the game house, specifically the Lead SWAT Officer (Simon Northwood).
Machine Guns
PKM
When Det. Gibson and the two police officers search the supposed hideout of Hoffman they are greeted by a trap that appears to be a rigged up variant of a belt-fed PKM machine gun with an EOTech sight mounted on top.
Other
Shotgun Collar
In archive footage from the Saw III, Lynn (Bahar Soomekh) with a Shotgun Collar is briefly seen when Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes) finds the perfect doctor for John's surgery in the final scene.
