Shot in the Back (a direct translation of original title Vystrel v spinu) is a Soviet 1980 (filmed 1979) detective movie directed by Vladimir Chebotaryov and based on the novel by Nikolai Leonov. A well known novelist is murdered. There is a suspect, but his guilt cannot be proven until a murder weapon is found.
