Pyramid of the Sun God (original German title Die Pyramide des Sonnengottes) is a 1965 Eurowestern directed by Robert Siodmak and based on the novel by Karl May. It is the second film of the dilogy, following Treasure of the Aztecs (also 1965). The hunt for the ancient Aztec treasure continues, involving Dr. Sternau (Lex Barker), Count Alfonso di Rodriganda (Gerard Barray), his mistress Josefa (Michele Girardon) and Lazoro Verdoja (Rik Battaglia), former Mexican Army Captain turned bandit chief.
The following weapons were used in the film Pyramid of the Sun God (Die Pyramide des Sonnengottes):
Revolvers
Enfield No. 2 Mk.I
Like in the first part, Capt. Verdoja (Rik Battaglia) carries the Enfield No.2 Mk I revolver with custom pearl or ivory grips.
Smith & Wesson Military & Police
Like in the first part, Dr. Sternau (Lex Barker) and Count Alfonso di Rodriganda (Gérard Barray) carry Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolvers. Capt. Verdoja (Rik Battaglia) holds the M&P revolver instead of his Enfield No.2 Mk I in a continuty error. M&P revolvers are also seen in hands of bandits in reused footage of the first part.
Colt Official Police Target
Like in the first part, Mexican Army Lt. Potoca (Gustavo Rojo) carries the Colt-style revolver with target sights, possibly Colt Official Police Target, also anachronistic for mid-XIX century.
Single Action Army
Like in the first part, Frank Wilson (Kelo Henderson) carries the Single Action Army-style revolver. It is some modern replica that differs in details from original gun.
In one scene Wilson carries the Cavalry version of SAA revolver.
Reichsrevolver M1883
The Reichsrevolver M1883 is seen in hands of a bandit.
Colt 1851 Navy revolvers (probably modern replicas) are used by several bandits.
Colt 1860 Army
What appears to be a Colt 1860 Army with pearl grips is briefly seen in hands of a bandit.
Pistols
Percussion Cap Pistol
Like in the first part, Andreas Hasenpfeffer (Ralf Wolter) is armed with a single-shot Percussion Cap Pistol, resembling Chatellerault Cavalry Model 1833.
Muskets
Percussion Cap Carbine
Most Verdoja's bandits and Potoca's soldiers carry percussion cap short muskets. These guns resemble 1862 Richmond Carbine but have differently placed barrel bands and the brass patch box on the buttstock, similar to the one seen on Model 1841 Mississippi Rifle.
Percussion Cap Musket
Some long-barreled percussion cap muskets are also seen.
