Wild Target

You wrote: This is wrong. He has no choice, he suffers from Dupuytren's contracture, a condition which causes the ring and little finger of each hand to be permanently bent inwards towards the palm. Are you talking about the character? or the Actor? I doubt it's the actor, since I saw him wield swords normally in the Underworld films. MoviePropMaster2008

The actor; it's on the wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_nighy

it's clearly visible in multiple films (the boat that rocked and G-force

Well since both those films are not here, many of us (including myself) have not seen them. I find it interesting that the filmmakers would prominently SHOWCASE his disability. Seems strange don't you think? Being a comedy, most viewers immediately assumed "Oh, that's intentional". I did notice his hands, once you mentioned it, briefly when he is clasping them together in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz but in both cases it is not obvious at all. What is also weird is that Dupuytren's contracture means that you CANNOT straighten your fingers, not an inability to BEND them. The disability means that his fingers are permanently bent. But, He is not bending his fingers in those shots. He is straightening them. Which looks like the opposite of that condition. I find that confusing.MoviePropMaster2008
