I am a firearms enthusiast, but I am hardly an expert or even a self proclaimed expert. I discovered the imfdb.org page out of curiuosity searching for new and interesting guns in movies that I had never seen before. So what makes me qualified to be a part of this community? Where my particular type of expertise crosses over into the movie world is my love of prop guns, rare competition guns used for roles. I especially prop guns that are creations based on real guns. Some of my favorite gun video blogs are Forgotten Weapons and C&R Arsenal and while I don't have that broad level of knowledge. I am always learning and ready to admit when I make a mistake. The pursuit of perfection is not getting it right the first time. It is practice and honing your knowledge and skills until you get it right. Finally I would love to be an armorer for movie productions and I would especially love to be able to provide unusual weapons screen time. I am not sure if I will ever pursue my armorers dream but I certainly hope to hone my skills and knowledge here on thee IMFDB.org database.
