I'm not sure why I feel like I have to protest an article entry about a fictional series produced by HBO, but Richard Harrow did not use a 'sporterized' M1917 Enfield in his killing spree in the episode "Margate Sands". I can't readily identify his rifle, but it could be an Enfield. Fact: the 'sporterized' M1917, even if it had the barrel shortened to remove the shrouded forward iron sight, didn't have the full, indented grips as shown in the episode.
Who cares about my life, all I want to espouse is authenticity. How's that for a bio?
