I began my relation with movie props when I got to know a Property Master. He had seen some prop documents that I manufactured and a car that I had made to look exactly like an LAPD car. He and his production friends were amazed as they could not tell the difference between the one I made and the real one. I told them that if I make any prop, be it documents or even a car, I would be insulted if they were able to tell the difference. Then through the years when he would rent interesting weapons for a production, he would teach me about each one and we would go out to the dessert and shoot them. So now I am here, 30 years later with a really good knowledge of weapons. I was an Airborne Weapons Technician in the Navy, so I knew all about airborne weapons already. But I learned what I know about pistols and rifles from him. I would like to belong to this database because it is a great weapons encyclopedia. I think I would enjoy seeing what I may learn from others on this site. I am also willing to be consulted by other members if they want to know anything about what some things should look like.
