I studied Film, Filmmaking, History and have a solid understanding of Military history. I have fired WWII and black powder weapons (M1, M1 Carbine, and a Springfield plus a variety of black powder weapons). One of my pet peeves is incorrect weapons in films, whether it's a solder personal weapon or a crew served weapons, nothing can kill a movie like watching the Wehrmacht approaching in M48 Patton tanks, this is forgivable in an older film but unacceptable in a modern production.
