- For one, the rifle is a 7.62x51mm gun, not a 5.56x45mm gun. That caliber alone makes it closer to the AR-10 than the M16. :) MoviePropMaster2008 05:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Because this isn't an M16 variant. I mean the HK416 isn't part of the M16 page and it's got the most in common with it Excalibur01 05:28, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well I guess the LaRue Tactical OSR , the HK 417 and the Knight Industry SR25 could be combined with the AR10 series as the are descendants of the Armalite AR10. -Phoenixent 06:35, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone know if this is the same weapon as (or related to) the new L129A1 DMR rifle being adopted by the British Army to replace the L96? I did a Google search, and the images I found showed a 7.62x51mm NATO AR-type platform that seemd to have the same combined reciever/forend design as this weapon (albeit with an M4-style telescoping stock).
