This movie takes place in 1975 right? Then why the hell does Carlito have a Beretta 92F, the only model available was the 92 at the time (and it JUST came out). Maybe the description on my channel guide got it wrong, though. I only saw the gunfight in the bar, so I never heard if the movie actually DOES take place in '75. - Gunmaster45

The film is, frankly, riddled with anachronisms, the biggest one being that the "Riker's Island prison barge" where Tony Taglialucci is being held wasn't put into use until 1992. I.e. it was brand new when the movie was filmed. --Euromutt 08:28, 1 July 2011 (CDT)

No you're right the movie is supposed to take place in 1975. Needless to say having Pacino use a Beretta 92F is a serious screwup. I saw an old Gary Cooper western once. Takes place during the Seminole Indian War in Florida in the 1830's/1840's. Guess what. They have the characters using Colt 1873 Peacemakers. It's not a Makarov. Look at the length at the barrel. It is a 1911. And it doesn't look like a Browning HP at all. User: Colt

Yournamehere the 1911 used it's clearly a Auto Ordnance because has the slanted grooves on the slide. You can see well in this shot:

Beretta 92SB-C

I can see how someone could see it and claim it's a Beretta 92SB-C but some things like the hammer make me think otherwise. Does anyone have a clearer picture or another example of a Beretta 92SB-C, or something else it might be? --Yournamehere 22:28, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Isn't the 92SB-C an anachronism as well? Correct me if im wrong but wasn't it released in 1981? I'm not so sure, theres not exactly a plethora of information on it floating around the web.
