A 1957 science fiction movie about grave robbers from outer space who zombify deceased humans as part of a plan to discourage humanity from an inventing an weapon that would destroy the universe. The readily apparent low budget status of everything and many other issues has led to the film becoming a stock example of the phenomenon "so bad it's good". Director Ed Wood's affinity for such quality would see him lampooned in the 1994 comedy Ed Wood.

Note: While the film was originally shot in 37:20 aspect ratio, it is most frequently digitized in the 4:3 aspect ratio used for its TV release after a very limited 37:20 theatrical run. As the original aspect ratio leads to many blatant filmography errors (such as filming equipment being in shot) that are cropped out in 4:3, 4:3 is considered the intended ratio.
The following weapons were used in the film Plan 9 from Outer Space:

Smith & Wesson Model 10

Inspector Clay (Tor Johnson), Lieutenant Harper (Duke Moore), Colonel Edwards (Tom Keene), Jeff Trent (Gregory Walcott), Patrolman Larry (Carl Anthony), Patrolman Kelton (Paul Marco) and a policeman (Conrad Brooks) use Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers.
