Metro Awakening is an upcoming VR shooter developed and published by Vertigo Games. The game is the newest entry in the Metro series, succeeding 2019's Metro Exodus, and is chronologically the first game in the series, taking place in 2028 and following a doctor named Serdar on his adventure through the Moscow metro in search of his missing wife. It is planned to release at some point in 2024.

The following weapons appear in the video game Metro Awakening:

Handguns

Tokarev TT-33

Serdar utilizes a suppressed Tokarev TT-33 pistol in the game's reveal trailer. The handgun has green luminous rear sights and a red front post.

Shotguns

"Shambler"

The "Shamber", a handmade revolver shotgun seen in previous Metro games, returns in Metro Awakening as one of Serdar's weapons. This adaptation of the shotgun has seen some slight changes to make it easier to reload in VR, most notably with the addition of a large folding handle on the top of the gun to chamber a round.
