Intratec TEC-22 - .22 LR

The Intratec TEC-22 is a semi-automatic handgun chambered in .22 Long Rifle, also sold as the Scorpion due to its visual resemblance of the Sa. Vz.61 Skorpion. Apart from the TEC-22 model, the following variants are known: TEC-22TK (Tec-Kote rust-resistant finish), TEC-25 (.25 ACP) and Sport-22 (non-threaded barrel).

The gun is constructed largely from molded plastic and stamped metal parts. Together with an extremely simple design this allowed the gun to be made and marketed at a relatively low price. The TEC-22 is designed to use magazines and drums made for the Ruger 10/22 rifle.
