Give 'em Hell Malone is a 2009 direct-to-video action film noir directed by Russell Mulcahy and starring Thomas Jane, Elsa Pataky and Ving Rhames.

Pencil Stache picks up a dropped Colt Official Police, which transforms into a Colt Python in the very next shot.

Smith & Wesson Model 36
Murphy (Leland Orser) draws a Smith & Wesson Model 36. Evelyn (Elsa Pataky) takes this in her search for Malone. Malone later uses the .38 Special ammo from it when he run out of ammo for his Mateba. Jerry (Patrick Treadway) and Pretty Boy (William Abadie) both are seen using them as well.

Given the proximity to an actor and the fact that the hammer is still down after firing, the Mustang probably didn't actually fire and the smoke was probably added digitally.
