New versions of images

Seems you were trying to upload a new version of an image and running into the usual issue of it apparently not updating. It does update, but it takes a while (as in sometimes days) for the image page to change. On the work page itself you can force an update by changing the image size; for example, 500px to 501px. Hope this clears it up. Evil Tim 17:03, 2 December 2011 (CST)

Not sure how to respond to you but thanks!!! I really appreciate your help. I'm new to this so I appreciate all the help I can get! --Zackmann08 17:05, 2 December 2011 (CST)

1911s

The Series 70 is there. It's listed under it's full name Colt Mark IV Series 70 or something like that. Luckily with Mythbuster's it's done with good light so you can get a good look at them. Most of the time we have to go with the generic M1911A1. --Predator20 01:18, 3 December 2011 (CST)

Right you are. Thanks man. Got it updated. --Zackmann08 01:34, 3 December 2011 (CST)

RE:Mythbusters

FN Minimis have a flat sided handguard with textured panels, whereas M249 variants have horizontal grooves and aren't textured. --commando552 14:20, 3 December 2011 (CST)

Maadi Griffin

It took me a bit to remember the make of the rifle. Before the company was involved in a dispute with the BATFE you used to be able to get mail order kits advertised in various gun magazines. The ones i remembers were in "Shotgun news". I've also more recently read about their problems with the BATFE. As far as IDing the gun I wasn't sure until I found a comparison image between the LAR Grizzly and the Maadi Griffin.Rockwolf66 00:06, 4 December 2011 (CST)

PS the Model of Maadi Griffin seen in Mythbusters is either a Model 89 or 99 not an MG-6. As far as my skills being impressive it just takes practice. Rockwolf66 00:10, 4 December 2011 (CST)
Yo Zackmann08, how old are you again? :D No offense, but those of us who are a bit 'long in the tooth' remember the Maadi Griffin well. It was ALL OVER the back ads of the Shotgun news and all other shooting magazines back in the 1980s/1990s. Yep and it was a kit that you could have mailed to you as well. Sigh, the good ol' days. What is sad that we routinely LOSE gun rights, and yet after a while, people think nothing of it and are actually 'SHOCKED' at the stuff we bought and sold years ago. Ah, to be young again ... Lets just say that in the 80s I was yet to be born... --Zackmann08 01:14, 4 December 2011 (CST)

Just a note on this: all gun pages should include at least one appearance in media when they're posted. We only list weapons that have actually appeared in things. I can undelete them if you can list appearances here, though. Evil Tim 02:44, 4 December 2011 (CST)

Sorry about that. I am a newbie here. Both the Maadi Griffin and the Armalite AR-50 were used in Mythbusters. If you restore the pages I will add the occurrences. Thanks for your guidance. --Zackmann08 02:59, 4 December 2011 (CST)

MythBusters Page

Nice job with this page, it was always one of IMFDB's worst pages for such a big show. If you don't mind, I can help out with the layout of the page and removing italics if I know that the gun was used.----JazzBlackBelt-- 18:01, 4 December 2011 (CST)

For sure! Yea I finally decided to join and revamp the page. Once I'm done here I'm gna try and fix up Top Shot. --Zackmann08 18:05, 4 December 2011 (CST)

Top Shot

Yeah if you want to split them go ahead. --Predator20 22:01, 5 December 2011 (CST)
