The second season of True Detective stars Colin Farrell as Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective, Rachel McAdams as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff detective, Taylor Kitsch as Paul Woodrugh, a California Highway Patrolman, and Vince Vaughn as Frank Semyon, a career criminal. Together, they must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system. Season 2 consists of eight episodes, all of which were written by Nic Pizzolato and several episodes directed by Justin Lin. The series is set to premiere on HBO in June of 2015.
