All the US Army recruits including Roland Bozz (Colin Farrell), Jim Paxton (Matthew Davis), Miter (Clifton Collins, Jr.) and Wilson (Shea Whigham) can be seen using M16A1 rifles throughout the film. Wilson is notably seen loading a magazine of live ammo in his rifle at one point.
