One of the New Richmond residents briefly holds the Beretta during Joan's meeting in "Thicker Than Water". David uses a Berreta to shoot Rufus in the head after reanimation, if Rufus survived the first episode, and to threaten Clinton. Javi and his Beretta are also seen on Episode 5's menu screen. Rufus' wife, Fern, points a gun at Kate after Kate reveals she is to blame for Rufus's death, but then puts it down, claiming she trusts Kate. Javier gives the gun to Gabe when they find David dying in the game's finale.

Tripp carries two M1911s in different holsters, one in a shoulder rig and the other in his hip holster. When Conrad finds out about Clementine's past, he threatens her with a Colt M1911A1, trying to use her to get to Richmond safely. Interestingly, unlike previous games in the series with the [[Beretta 92FS Inox]], here the 1911's hammers are sometimes cocked, which would be necessary to fire them. Also, when fired, the 1911s appear to have been modified with full length guide rods. Ava also has one and uses it to stop Javier in "Thicker Than Water".

The following weapons appear in the video game The Walking Dead: A New Frontier:

Handguns

Beretta 92FS Centurion

A Beretta 92FS Centurion with pearl grips is carried by some members of the New Frontier, including Rufus. Javier acquires it after the truck crash during "Ties That Bind, Part 1" and uses it as his primary sidearm.

Colt M1911A1 (Two-Tone)

New Frontier militiamen, including Max and Badger, wield two-tone M1911A1s as their primary sidearms. Conrad, and Eleanor also carry 1911s. Tripp carries two M1911s in different holsters, one in a shoulder rig and the other in his hip holster. When Conrad finds out about Clementine's past, he threatens her with a Colt M1911A1, trying to use her to get to Richmond safely. Interestingly, unlike previous games in the series with the Beretta 92FS Inox, here the 1911's hammers are sometimes cocked, which would be necessary to fire them. Also, when fired, the 1911s appear to have been modified with full length guide rods. Ava also has one and uses it to stop Javier in "Thicker Than Water".

A closer look at Max's 1911. Here the hammer is not cocked, suggesting Max may have been trying to bluff Javier. This is supported by the model changing, and it later having a cocked hammer within the same episode, suggesting this isn't a modeling mistake as it has been in the past.

Tripp holds another 1911 during "From the Gallows." The uncocked hammer would seem to indicate he cannot, in fact, "handle this."

SIG-Sauer P250 Compact

Clementine carries a SIG-Sauer P250 Compact as her weapon of choice; she uses it in "Ties That Bind, Part 1" to accidentally kill Eli during their confrontation over defective ammo, as well as killing a member of the New Frontier with an impressive headshot from across the road. Notably, Clementine is the only person in the game to use this pistol. It should be noted that this gun is an anachronism since the outbreak started in 2003 and the pistol was introduced to the US market in 2007.

Clementine holds the SIG on Eli and accuses him of selling her faulty ammo; she uses his lack of fear as evidence he was aware of this, before pulling the trigger and demonstrating the rounds won't fire.
Clementine continues to hold the SIG on Eli, breaking every rule of gun safety imaginable. When Eli attacks Javier this has predictably dire consequences for him as the chambered bullet eventually does fire.

"I know what you're thinking. 'Did she fire fifteen shots or only five?' Well, to tell the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a 9mm, which even though it's not exactly the most powerful handgun in the world and won't blow your head clean off, you better ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"

Walther PPK/S

Gabriel Garcia pulls a Walther PPK/S and uses it to break up a fight between Javier and Conrad during "Ties That Bind, Part 2;" it appears to be his sidearm of choice, though he has a larger handgun holstered in most scenes. Paul "Jesus" Monroe also carries one.

Shotguns

Remington 870 Police Magnum (Short Barrel)

Clementine's preferred long gun of choice is a Remington 870 Police Magnum with a pistol grip, short barrel, and shell holder on top of the receiver. She holds it on Javier Garcia during their first meeting in "Ties That Bind, Part 1" and uses it several times throughout the season. A member of the New Frontier is briefly seen with one in "From the Gallows".

Conrad keeps a full-size Remington 870 Police Magnum with synthetic furniture, a shell holder, and an extended tube magazine prominently displayed in his bar to ward off troublemakers. He can be seen holding it at the gas station, but in the tunnel, he is instead shown firing Clem's cut-down 870 in a continuity error. Another full-size 870 can be seen on Episode 5's menu screen.

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns make several appearances in the game. One is notably used by Badger in an attempt to kill Javi, but Javi takes it from him and shoots him instead. More are seen in the armory in New Richmond in "Thicker Than Water".

Rifles

AK-47

Members of the New Frontier wield AK-47 derivatives with stamped receivers as their primary long guns. Some of them have multicolored paint splotches on the receiver. Javi takes one from New Richmond's armory in "Thicker Than Water".

M16A4

Multiple citizens of Prescott, including Tripp, Conrad, and Eleanor use M16A4s with KAC M5 railed handguards, carry handle iron sights, AN/PEQ-15 laser modules zip tied on and collapsible buttstocks with red cloth wrapped around the LE stocks.Javier acquires one during the standoff with the New Frontier during "Ties That Bind, Part 2" suggesting they may have had a small stash of these rifles on hand. As a modeling note, Telltale seems to have forgotten to add the knobs to the left side of the carry handle.

MAS-49/56

A few MAS-49/56 rifles are present in the armory in New Richmond but are never seen used.
