The Rookie is a 1990 action film starring Clint Eastwood as Nick Pulovski, a veteran detective in the LAPD's auto theft division who is a paired with rookie detective David Ackerman (Charlie Sheen) to take down an auto theft ring. Not to be confused with the 2002 Dennis Quaid baseball movie The Rookie.

LAPD Detective Nick Pulovski (Clint Eastwood) carries a Smith & Wesson 4506 as his main sidearm throughout the film.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is the main sidearm of LAPD Detective David Ackerman (Charlie Sheen) at the beginning of the film. He first carries it in a hip holster, but Nick tells him to get a shoulder holster because of the "Jesse James" look is out and he shouldn't go around half-cocked. Nick's first partner also is seen with the handgun and other LAPD officers are seen drawing their Berettas when Nick is taken hostage.
Beretta 84BB
David's girlfriend Sarah (Lara Flynn Boyle) is seen using a Beretta 84BB during a scuffle.
Steyr GB
Later in the film, Ackerman switches to a Steyr GB as he threatens patrons at a biker bar.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
The Dirty Harry deep down in Pulovski is released when he uses a Smith & Wesson Model 29 and chases Strom (Raul Julia) through the airport with it. He later takes the bullet hanging around Strom's neck and loads it in his revolver.

Airport police draw Smith & Wesson Model 28 revolvers on Liesl during the airport lobby chase. Nick is also seen using two in the airport.
