The Protector (1985)

The Protector is a 1985 action film directed by James Glickenhaus and was only the second attempt by Hong Kong martial arts action star Jackie Chan to break into US film market. In the film, Chan stars as Billy Wong, an NYPD officer determined to take down drug smugglers in the city. The cast included Danny Aiello. Chan was disappointed with the finished film during its US premiere and released his own personal cut with new scenes when the movie was released in Hong Kong.
