The House of the Dead: Remake is a 2022 remake of the original 1996 The House Of The Dead developed by MegaPixel Studio, and published by Forever Entertainment under license from Sega. The game had to be remade from scratch as the original source code was lost. The remake received mixed reviews. People criticized the price, controls, performance, graphics and soundtrack (the soundtrack was new, as they couldn't license Tetsuya Kawauchi's).
This remake features multiple weapons that can be unlocked, which was not a thing in the original game.
The following weapons appear in the video game The House of the Dead: Remake:
Gun
The Gun resembles a Glock, although it is much shorter and features wooden grips. For some reason, the ejection is at the left side of the gun, which means the characters would see brass flying at them. Did they go to Minh Le's school of modeling weapons?
Pistol
In the pre-release screenshots the Gun icon is different, and it was named Pistol. Resembles a 1911 with a rifle pistol grip, to make it look more modern.
Crossbow
The Crossbow is one of the new weapons introduced. It can be found in Chapter 1.
Pitter
The Pitter is a gun that shoots wooden stakes. It can be found in Chapter 2.
Grenade Launcher
The Grenade Launcher is found in Chapter 3 and resembles a Milkor M32A1 MSGL.
Assault Rifle
The Assault Rifle seems to be a ARX-160/AR 70/90 hybrid, with the latter's influences being most visible in the stock. It can be found in Chapter 4.
