The Golden Holiday (Korean title: 국제수사, Gukjesusa; lit. "International Investigation") is a 2020 South Korean action-comedy film. The film follows Korean detective Hong Byung-soo (Kwak Do-won), who takes his family to a vacation in the Philippines for his 10th wedding anniversary. Unbeknownst to his family, his true motive for visiting the Philippines is to track down his old friend Kim Yong-bae (Kim Sang-ho), after he was scammed by him years ago. From his friend, Byung-soo hears about the legend of Yamashita's gold, a massive cache of war loot hidden by the Imperial Japanese in the Philippines during World War 2, and proceeds to search for the treasure with his friends and some unlikely accomplices.
