The Front Line (2011)

The Front Line (Korean title: Gojijeon / 고지전) is a 2011 South Korean war film directed by Jang Hoon. In the closing months of the Korean War, a South Korean Lieutenant (Ha-kyun Shin) is sent to the eastern Aerok Hills to investigate the mysterious death of a company commander and uncover a suspected mole. There, he encounters an old friend (Soo Ko) leading troops and becomes involved in the battles to secure the Hills before the impending ceasefire.

Colt M1911A1

The Colt M1911A1 is the standard sidearm for South Korean officers, and is used by Lt. Kim, Lt. Kang, acting Captain Shin Il-young (Je-hoon Lee) and replacement Captain Yoo Jae-oh (Cho Jin-woong).

PPSh-41

North Korean soldiers use PPSh-41 submachine guns. Kim also captures a PPSh-41 when he seizes a North Korean position.
