The Death of Stalin is a 2017 satirical black comedy directed by Armando Iannucci, based on the French graphic novel La mort de Staline. Set in the Soviet Union in 1953, the film loosely depicts the power struggle following the death of Joseph Stalin.

The Tokarev TT-33 is used by officers of the Red Army and NKVD. Vasily Stalin (Rupert Friend) carries a TT-33 with silver grips.

The AK-47 is used by Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov (Jason Isaacs) (incorrectly referred to as a Field Marshal in the movie) and other Red Army officers and soldiers during the coup against Beria. One of Stalin's guards carries an AK-47.
