The "Mossy 500 Cruiser" isn't. The receiver isn't even close. It appears to be a High Standard Flite King. I don't have the time to research it right now. Anyone want to? I'd appreciate it. krispic 01-23-2012
- You're right. It is not a Mossberg. Even though the standard Mossberg 500 came out in 1961, the cruiser did not exist during this time frame. Also you can see that there is a button (safety?) on the front of the trigger guard, which makes it NOT a Mossberg. A High Standard Flite King is a good guess. It looks the closest. - Here's a different shot of the shotgun. It also has a shorter barrel. Please help ID this. --Ben41 22:52, 23 January 2012 (CST)
(moved from main page) What appears to be a shotgun is carried by Gunnery Sergeant Curry (Noble Willingham) in the film.
