:If I had to guess, knowing what I know now (15 years after I originally did this page): It's probably an Olympic Arms K16. Most likely a post-ban version, as I don't think that particular model was sold with the "pre-ban" features (e.g., flash hider and bayonet lug) prior to the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. Though the K8, the longer-barrel (20") model, was available in a pre-ban version. Flattop AR

I can't tell what brand the Flattop AR is it is possibly either a Match or Varmint who knows?

If I had to guess, knowing what I know now (15 years after I originally did this page): It's probably an Olympic Arms K16. Most likely a post-ban version, as I don't think that particular model was sold with the "pre-ban" features (e.g., flash hider and bayonet lug) prior to the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. Though the K8, the longer-barrel (20") model, was available in a pre-ban version.
