Does a stage play match rules? Greg-Z (talk) 09:45, 25 July 2016 (EDT)

I don't think it would qualify as its own page. Maybe as part of the RE6 page?--Funkychinaman (talk) 16:00, 25 July 2016 (EDT)
I think it falls primarily into a question of if this is professionally produced/distributed or not - If it meets distribution requirements, technically I believe it would be eligible. StanTheMan (talk) 16:27, 25 July 2016 (EDT)
Doesn't it technically fall under the DVD category?Temp89 (talk)
There isn't a category for DVD. Looking at the rules, "skits or anything else of the sort" are not eligible. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:48, 25 July 2016 (EDT)
Actually it says "The rule applies to user-made flash games, mobile apps, YouTube home movies/shorts done with airsoft guns, faux commercials, skits or anything else of the sort." 'The rule' being that described in that section which is it must be a professionally-made and/or authority-documented piece of media that is professionally/commercially distributed. Again, if it meets these criteria, again, technically I believe it would (or at least, could) be eligible. It does however also say that said distribution and documentation must be verified upon request. StanTheMan (talk) 02:09, 26 July 2016 (EDT)
Well here it is on Capcom's official site and googling shows proper press releases and countless news articles.

The spirit of the rule is to stop amateur youtube vids and one-man flash games whipped up in a few days from flooding the site. It even specifies the exception to the rule is when an amateur mod is seen as good enough to be on a par with a professionally made game.Temp89 (talk)

Well this isn't a game mod, so that exception doesn't really apply, and even then we're not to ones to decide if said mod is 'on par' and worthy of inclusion. While I do agree with you about the 'spirit', I prefer sticking with what is stated in the plain text. Ultimately though, again, it's really up to admins to interpret the RSP and thus decide if a title is eligible or not. StanTheMan (talk) 16:38, 26 July 2016 (EDT)
I've started a thread in the admin section in the forum. Since it's admin only, please explain here why it should be eligible. --Funkychinaman (talk) 00:07, 27 July 2016 (EDT)
Well, I already said my piece, that being it mainly boils down to a question of professional production and distribution - If it meets those stated requirements then technically it would be eligible by what is explicitly stated. Pretty much it. StanTheMan (talk) 01:30, 27 July 2016 (EDT)
Yes, but those are only two criteria. Pornos, documentaries and manga would also meet those requirements as well, but still aren't eligible. What makes this eligible? --Funkychinaman (talk) 07:24, 27 July 2016 (EDT)
Just a idea, but why not move it to the Resident Evil 6 Discussion page since it's a prequel to Resident Evil 6? --SeanWolf (talk) 14:06, 27 July 2016 (EDT)
