Toophan (Persian توفان meaning "Storm") an Iranian copy of the BGM-71 TOW - 152mm. This example was captured by Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon in 2006. Distinctive features of Toophan are shorter tripod legs with yellow rings painted on them, and the band about two-thirds of the way along the missile casing being reddish instead of brown. The missiles are approximately copies of BGM-71A or B (Toophan-1), BGM-71C ITOW or BGM-71D TOW-2 (Toophan 2), and BGM-71F TOW-2B (Toophan 3). Toophan 4 does not match any TOW model, being equipped with a thermobaric warhead. The latest variants, Toophan 5 and Qaem (a variant designed primarily for use against helicopters), feature a new sighting unit and switch from wire guidance to semi-active laser homing (SALH).
