State Department: File 649 was filmed in 1949 with William Lundigan playing U.S. Foreign Service agent Kenneth R. Seeley who becomes trapped in an isolated North China village by a scheming warmonger Marshal Yun Usu played by Richard Loo that's threatening to execute his American hostages.
