Speed 2: Cruise Control is the 1997 sequel to 1994's Speed. Sandra Bullock returns as Annie Porter, who finds herself in a new predicament when she and her new boyfriend Alex Shaw (Jason Patric) discover that the cruise ship they are on has been commandeered by a maniacal genius (Willem Dafoe). The film, which was a box office disappointment, was directed by original Speed director Jan de Bont.
