The following guns were used in the film Predator
M16A1 and/or M16A2 assault rifle
The two members of the special forces team that exclusively carry the M16-rifles are Billy (Sonny Landham) and Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger). Due to the attachment adaptor of the M203 Grenade Launcher, it is hard to determine if Dutch's M16 is either an A1-, or A2-model. Bets do seem to fall to the A1's side, since Dutch is seen firing the weapon with full auto - which cannot be done with the A2. It can be said with fair certainty, however, that the M16 carried by Billy could be an A2-model. This can be observed from the upper receiver of the rifle - although similar upper receivers have been manufactured for the late A1-models as well. What is also notable about Billy's M16-version, is the underbarrel shotgun attached to it. Despite claims, it does seem prominent that the shotgun attached to it isn't the so-called Masterkey system, but a distinct modification. The exact model of Billy's underslung shotgun is also debatable: the Ithaca 37 or a considerably shortened Remington 870 could the best bets, however.
M60E3 Machinegun
The M60E3 machinegun is carried by Mac (Bill Duke). The weapon can easily be identified as an M60E3 from the forward grip.
Hand-Held M134 Minigun
This is the main weapon of the movie carried by Jesse Ventura. It has been modded for Commando use with an M60 handguard and a rear pistol grip. The weapon was powered by an electric cable hidden in the actors trousers anf fired reduced power 7.62 blank rounds to ease the recoil force. It is believed in real life a similar weapon was tested by US special forces in the 1970s but found inpractical. Although rumoured to be an XM214 'Microgun' which fires the smaller 5.56 NATO rounds, It is the larger M134 hence the barrel cluster.
