Paul Scofield was an English actor of stage and screen. He was noted for his distinctive voice and delivery, Scofield received a Tony Award for his performance as Sir Thomas More in the 1962 stage play A Man for All Seasons, and an Academy Award for the same role in the 1966 film version. He also received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his performance in the series Male of the Species, making him one of only twenty-four actors to have achieved the "Triple Crown of Acting".
