Revision as of 19:23, 15 January 2020
The following weapons were used in Season 9 of the television series NYPD Blue:
Handguns
Glock 17
The Glock 17 is the sidearm carried by several NYPD detectives in the series, including Det. John Clark Jr. (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Lt. Tony Rodriguez (Esai Morales). These pistols are clearly meant to be stand-ins for the Glock 19, which is the correct NYPD-issued sidearm.
Glock 19
Along with the aforementioned Glock 17s, actual issue-accurate Glock 19s are seen carried and used by NYPD officers and detectives, particularly by 15th Squad Detectives Greg Medavoy (Gordon Clapp) and Baldwin Jones (Henry Simmons).
Smith & Wesson Model 36
The Smith & Wesson Model 36 is the sidearm carried by Detective Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), the senior-most detective in the 15th. Other detectives are seen occasionally carrying/using S&W Model 36s during undercover assignments or as off-duty weapons.
Smith & Wesson 5906
The Smith & Wesson 5906 is seen carried by other detectives and officers (standing-in for the correct-issue 5946), particularly Det. Harold aka "Hank", who often guards interviewees for the 15th squad. Various other characters are also seen with 5906s.
SIG-Sauer P226 (Nickel)
An all-nickel SIG-Sauer P226 is seen confiscated from a suspect by Det. Jones In "Mom's Away" (S9E07).
Colt Detective Special
A Colt Detective Special is seen being confiscated by Det. Medavoy in "Safari, So Good" (S9E13)
Rifles / Carbines
Winchester Model 70
A deranged serial shooter uses what appears to be a Winchester Model 70 in "Johnny Got His Gold (Part 2)" (S0E02).
Colt XM177E2 'Commando'
Several XM177E2 carbines are seen being wielded by NYPD ESU officers during a stand-off in "Less Is Morte" (S9E18).
