Morris Ankrum (AKA Stephen Morris Nussbaum) (1896-1964) was a character actor who was familiar to television viewers for his appearances on nearly every major Western series on television in the 1950s and early 1960s. He was very familiar strapping a Peacemaker during his guest stints on such popular Western series as Have Gun - Will Travel, Wagon Train, Bat Masterson, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Rawhide, The Rifleman and Bonanza. He was also known to sci fi/horror fans for appearing in such 1950s classics like Ray Harryhausen's Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, Kronos, Beginning of the End (which was parodied on Mystery Science Theatre 3000), and The Giant Claw.
