Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is an adaptation of the Yoshikazu Yasuhiko manga of the same name which depicts an alternate Universal Century timeline with many significant differences from the original continuity used by the original Mobile Suit Gundam and its sequels/prequels (most notably Federation mobile suits existing prior to the last four months of the One Year War). The particular issues adapted are a prequel showing how the Universal Century's antagonist turned hero turned antagonist Casval Rem Deikun took the alias Char Aznable and began his decade long plot for revenge against the Zabi family.
The following weapons were used in the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin:
Pistols
Earth Federation Force Standard Issue Pistol
The Earth Federation Force Standard Issue Pistol (known as M71A1 in some sources) is used by Earth Federation military forces as their standard sidearm. One of Jimba Ral's aides brandishes one after Kycilia Zabi shows up at the Ral family mansion in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval". One of the Mass family guards uses it, but doesn't use it since he was shot dead in "Artesia's Sorrow".
High Standard HD
Kycilia Zabi fires her sidearm in "Blue-Eyed Casval". The pistol resembles the High Standard HD, with a different barrel.
Mauser HSc
The Mauser HSc appears to be used in the movie by Zeon Space Defense Minstry Academy cadet (and future Zabi in-law) Zenna Mia when a revolt starts in "Dawn of Rebellion".
Revolvers
The Colt 1851 Navy is seen in "Dawn of Rebellion" when it was seized by a Texas Colony spaceport customs officer.
Single Action Army
A Single Action Army is seemingly used by an armed civilian taking refuge at the Mass Estate inside the Texas colony in "Clash at Loum".
Smith & Wesson Model 36
A Smith & Wesson Model 36 is seen with Jimba Ral in the middle of the OVA movie "Blue-Eyed Casval". A human smuggler tries to use it in "Eve of Destiny".
Submachine Guns
Fictional Submachine Gun
A fictional submachine gun based on the MP5K prototype is seen used by Zabi-controlled security forces and with some pro-Zabi factions near the end of "Blue-Eyed Casval". Assassins use them during the raid on the Mass family residence in "Artesia's Sorrow". Armed extortion gang members use them in "Eve of Destiny".
MAC-11
A MAC-11 is likely used in "Clash of Loum" by a pro-EF raider.
MP40
A MP40 is used by an assassin in a raid on the Mass family residence in "Artesia's Sorrow". The original barrel is animated as a gas tube and there is a new barrel added underneath with a different folding stock.
Assault Rifles
AK-47
At least a couple of AK-47s are seen among the small arms stockpiled by Jimba Ral in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval".
Colt M16
A Colt M16 that appears to be poorly rendered is seen among the small arms stockpiled by Jimba Ral in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval".
"Colt M72A1"
A bullpup assault rifle known as the "Colt M72A1" is used by the Earth Federation military as its standard assault rifle. Hatte Defense Force soldiers and pro-EF militiamen stationed at Island Iffish use it in "Clash at Loum". It appears to be based primarily on the L85A1.
Bullpup Assault Rifle
A Bullpup Assault Rifle is seen used by a pro-Zabi demonstrator during riots in Munzo in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval" and with armed men in a construction yard in Jaburo in "Eve of Destiny". Fake EFSF commandos reinforcing the raid to rescue Revil use them as well in "Rise of the Red Comet". It appears to be influenced by the FAMAS.
Munzo Defense Force Assault Rifle
A fictional conventional assault rifle is seen in the hands of MDF soldiers as their main assault rifle, which is also used by Principality of Zeon's military. The same rifle is seen in other depictions of the One Year War as the main infantry gun for Zeon forces. One is stockpiled by Jimba Ral in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval". It's seen with Dren in "Rise of Red Comet".
Hybrid Assault Rifle
A hybrid assault rifle, combining features from the CETME Model L and the SIG SG 550 are used in "Dawn of Rebellion" by ZSDMA cadets in "Dawn of Rebellion". Some pro-EF raiders use them in "Clash at Loum".
Earth Federation Assault Rifle
A fictional assault rifle is seen in the hands of pro-EF militiamen stationed at Island Iffish in "Clash at Loum".
Battle Rifles
M14 Rifle
A M14 Rifle is used in "Dawn of Rebellion" by a pro-Zeon independence fighter.
Winchester Model 1873
Several Winchester Model 1873s are seen hanging on the wall of a cowboy-themed bar/restaurant inside the Texas Colony near the end of "Artesia's Sorrow". Sayla Mass uses it in "Clash at Loum" after pro-EF raiders try to raid the Mass Estate.
Bolt-Action Rifles
Biathlon bolt-action rifle
Biathlon bolt-action rifles are seen in "Dawn of Rebellion".
Shotguns
Remington Model 870
A Remington Model 870 is seen in "Clash at Loum" with a civilian guarding the Mass Estate in Texas. A pro-EF raider is seen using it as well.
Winchester Model 1912
What appears to be a Winchester Model 1912 is used in "Dawn of Rebellion" by a pro-Zeon independence fighter.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
Browning M2HBs are seen with EF military and MDF vehicles as the standard heavy machine gun.
Bushmaster M242 chaingun
The Bushmaster M242 chaingun is used on ZSDMA 8x8 APCs in "Dawn of Rebellion".
M134 Minigun
A M134 Minigun is used inside Side 7 as a defense turret.
"M-299"
A fictional light machine gun known as the "M-299" is used by the EF military and by the MDF as their standard light machine gun, being based visually on the FN Minimi. Ramba Ral briefly uses it in an attempt to drive away pro-Zabi demonstrators approaching the Deikun limousine at the start of "Blue-Eyed Casval". A couple are seen stockpiled in Jimba Ral's panic room in the same OVA. One is seen with a M62 armored bus used by an armed extortion gang and some used in the LMG role in "Eve of Destiny".
Pintle-Mount Version
Rocket Launchers
RPG-7
A RPG-7 is seen among the small arms stockpiled by Jimba Ral in his panic room in the middle of "Blue-Eyed Casval".
Fictional Recoilless Rifle
A fictional recoilless rifle is used by rogue ZSDMA cadets in "Dawn of Rebellion" during the attack on Guardian Banchi. Pro-EF militia fighters are seen with it in "Clash at Loum" and "Rise of the Red Comet". Dren is seen with it at the end of "Rise of the Red Comet" when he (wrongfully) suspected that Char was running into trouble in an EFSF Salamis-class ship that has Admiral Revil.
Grenades
M26 grenade
A M26 grenade is seen on a wooden desk next to a Mk. 2 grenade in Jimba Ral's panic room and in the hands of a pro-Zabi demonstrator in "Blue-Eyed Casval".
Mk. 2 grenade
A Mk. 2 grenade is seen on a wooden desk next to a M26 grenade in Jimba Ral's panic room in "Blue-Eyed Casval".
M84 stun grenade
A M84 stun grenade is used by Lino in "Dawn of Rebellion" when Char gives it to him to help him hijack a EFSF Type 61 MBT.
Grenade Launchers
Unknown Gas Guns
Gas guns loaded with smoke rounds are used by EFSF soldiers in "Dawn of Rebellion" to suppress a growing pro-Zeon demonstration.
Mines
M18 Claymore
A M18 Claymore is used in "Dawn of Rebellion" during the siege at Guardian Banchi. It's operated to detonate via laser trap, which exploded after EFSF soldiers ran out of the barrack entrances.
Heavy Weapons
Mortar
A mortar is seen in "Eve of Destiny" when an extortion gang raids a construction yard.
