Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
The following weapons are used in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the Sony PSP:
Note: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is an upcoming PSP game set after the events of portable ops. I've only seen the trailer (it looks amazing).
M16A1
It shows Big Boss running down a beach with what appears to be an M16A1. It's set in 1974 so that is the standard weapon of the time. it is used in the demo by jungle fatigue snake with a 30 round magazine It also shows four Big Bosses aiming their weapons at a new Metal Gear.
PKM
Mounted on top of a tank in Costa Rica. used in demo on tank.
AK-47
A Costa Rican guard is shown with an AK-47. It probably has most of the same weapons as Portable Ops. used by all enemies in the demo.
RPG-7
used by battle dress snake and naked snake in the demo.
M1911A1
Seen very briefly at the end of the trailer held by a snake. used by battle dress snake and naked snake in the demo
XM177E2
on the in game gun selection screen the words M16 are shown but the XM177E2 is shown.
M60
Finally, a good MG. is shown on the in game gun screen as well. used by battle dress snake and naked snake in the demo
Ithaca M37
seen on a snake at the end of the trailer.
MK22 Mod 0 "Hush Puppy" Smith & Wesson 39.
seen on snake very briefly at the end. is not suppressed. used by jungle fatigue snake and sneaking suit in the demo.
in a recent picture update it shows that the MK22 has three different upgrades
DShK
snake (without any clothes on the upper body apart from 2 bullet belts) is seen firing it in a screen shot.
TANK BOX
ON the trailer the boxes from portable ops have changed. Has been confirmed to shoot grenades.
SVD Dragunov
used by jungle fatige snake in the demo.
M72 LAW
used by an enemy on the second mgs peace walker demo. snake attempts to assault a mountain top fortress. used by only one soldier but he reloads it.
SA VZ61 skorpion
seen on one of 4 snakes . he is able to shoot from behind a shield. on previous games only enemies can do this. used in demo by sneaking suit snake.
Mosin Nagant
Has a 'ZZZ' label with it meaning it is a tranq dart
FN FAL
shortly seen in enemys hand, in the third gameplay trailer and in the monsterhunter trailer you can see snake use one of them. has a 20 round magazin and a scope (maybe usable)
Walther WA 2000
Large caliber sniper rifle. The in-game description says that it's hard to handle but very accuracy. Can penetrate armor with a single shot.
M21
In the gameplay trailer it's equiped with a silencer and has a large magacine (20 rounds i think) it can penetrate the helmet of soldiers with one shot and also a shot in the arms seems to be deadly.
RK47
It looks a lot like a AK-47 with a GP25.
CAW
In-game discription says that this is a "Prototype full-auto shotgun. Its outstanding capacity and firing speed make it the most poweful shotgun in the world"
