Medal of Honor: Underground (2000)

Medal of Honor: Underground is the 2000 prequel video game for the Playstation. It follows the exploits of female French Resistance fighter Manon Baptiste (who was featured in the original Medal of Honor) during the early years of World War II in Europe.

The following weapons appear in the video game Medal of Honor: Underground:

Handguns

Walther P38

A Walther P38 is the very first gun the player acquires. It's only used in Mission One.

Walther P38 with black grips - 9mm

Mauser C96

A Mauser C96 is seen in Mission Art for Mission 1, but is sadly not usable in the game.

Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" - 7.63x25mm Mauser.

High Standard HDM

A High Standard HDM suppressed pistol is made available for the Undercover Missions (North Africa and Crete).

1911

Starting in the "Last Rites at Monte Cassino" chapter, the player is given a M1911 instead of the P38.

SMGs

Sten Mark II

In the game the first automatic weapon is the Sten MKII which holds 32 rounds. It is incorrectly used by Germans in several chapters, though explained as being MP 3008 copies (in 1940). Most noticeably by Fallschirmjäger units in the "Last Rites at Monte Cassino" chapter.

Sten Mk II Submachine gun - 9x19mm

MP40

You are first given the MP40 in the level "Hunting the Desert Fox". It holds 32 rounds and is used by a majority of enemies.

Rifles

Gewehr 43

The game's main sniping weapon is the Gewehr 43 fitted with an scope. Manon uses the scoped G43 to take down a fanatical Nazi knight. A version without a scope can also be used by the player and various Nazi soldiers. In Multiplayer, its icon is (incorrectly) a scoped 1903 Springfield.

Karabiner 98K

The Karabiner 98k is used by German troops throughout the game. The player cannot use it.

Karabiner 98k - 7.92x57mm Mauser

M1 Garand

The M1 Garand is only available in Multiplayer.

M1 Garand - .30-'06 Springfield

STG 44

The Sturmgewehr 44 is the game's only assault rifle. It is first encountered in the hands of SS soldiers in the "Dark Camelot" chapter. The weapon itself is a tad inaccurate in-game. Replaced by the BAR in the bonus mission, and referred to as a Sub-Machine Gun in game.

Other Weapons

Winchester Model 12 Riot Shotgun

Referred to as the "W12 Riot Shotgun" in mission debriefings, the Winchester Model 1912 is the primary weapon for the Middelwerk Saboteur Chapter, and the Bonus Mission. In Multiplayer, its icon is (incorrectly) the Winchester M1897.

Winchester Model 12 Riot Shotgun - 12 Gauge.

Big Joe 5 Crossbow

A crossbow developed by the OSS for assassinations at 200 yards or less. In the game, it is an instant kill weapon, even capable of making a double or triple kill if enemies are stacked up for such a shot. However, it takes an insanely long time to reload.

Explosives

Panzerfaust

The game's "rocket launcher" is the Panzerfaust, in the game it takes 3 to 4 shots to destroy a tank. It is first encountered in the first chapter of the game, anachronistically, which takes place in 1940.

Bazooka

The player can also use the M1 Rocket Launcher "Bazooka", but it is only available in multiplayer mode.

M9 "Bazooka" - 2.36 inch

Model 24 Stielhandgranate "Potato Masher" Stick grenade

The game's main grenade is the Model 24 Stielhandgranate. They are somewhat unreliable since enemies can easily kick them away unless the player hits said enemy with a grenade, in which case they will explode on contact.

Machine Guns

MG42

At some points the player will find mounted MG42s with a fairly fast firing rate and unlimited ammo.

MG42 Light Machine Gun 7.92x57mm Mauser

Hotchkiss Gun

A Hotchkiss gun is seen in the third level of the "Occupation" chapter and later in the final level in the "Hunting the Desert Fox" chapter, where it can destroy Panzer IIIs with ease.
