The weapon most notably appears in the 1994 film Timecop, which was the first feature film in which it appeared. Timecop was filmed in British Columbia, Canada, and these custom firearms would subsequently appear in other films and television series produced in the same region during the 1990s, including the film Rumble in the Bronx and series such as M.A.N.T.I.S. and Viper.
