Worked with directors such as Peter Brook, Peter Sellars, Anatoly Efros or [[Warren Beatty]]. In films of Milos Forman played the little roles - as the reporter in ''Ragtime'' (1981) or shooter in the film [[The People vs. Larry Flynt]] (1996). Collaborated on a series [[Highlander: The Raven]] (1998). In the same year he starred with Robert De Niro and Jean Reno in the movie [[Ronin]] (1998). In 1991 the film has shot director Jan Svěrák movie ''Obecná škola'' (1991)  and Jan Triska got the chance to create a central figure of the teacher. To him and all the crew earned an ''Oscar'' nomination for best foreign language film. Later received a second nomination with [[Zelary]] (2003). A year earlier, in 2002, he was awarded the ''Alfred Radok Award'' for performance in the title role of ''King Lear'' at the Summer Shakespeare film festival.
